MUSICAL FAMILY:

  • Mother of two accomplished young pianists who won many national and international piano competitions and both children performed multiple times at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York city.

  • Daughter, Isabelle, has a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University at Bloomington; and a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester in New York. She was the recipient of the Graduate Tuition Award and Artistic Excellence Scholarship from Jacobs; and Artist Scholarship, Wallace Robert Gray Scholarship and Howard Hanson Tuition Scholarship from Eastman.

  • Isabelle serves as the substitute teacher for my piano studio when I am unable to teach due to illness, traveling outside studio holidays, or any other unforeseen circumstance.

  • Son, Ira, is an undergraduate student majoring piano performance with the Dean’s Performance Award Scholarship (the highest scholarship honor) and Eastman Artist Scholarship at Eastman School of Music, and minoring German at University of Rochester in New York. Ira is also in Eastman’s Honors Theory and Musicianship Class which is an elite group that teaches graduate-level music theory. This is a highly selective group in which only a few first year undergraduate students are chosen by testing their music theory, ear-training, sight-singing, and analytical techniques.
